Some of these I opened and didn’t particularly like, but I *will* finish them. I even finished Toibín’s Brooklyn which was singularly the worst book I’ve ever read in my life. It took about a month to read, and I ordinarily speed-read but Brooklyn…oh Brooklyn.
There are a million books I want to read, but these are ones I actually own. And they will all be read.
Eventually.

1984 completely blew my mind. It’s one of my favorites.
There were so many, even I got annoyed.
The Knife of Never Letting Go – yeeeeess! Go read it!
The Da Vinci Code was okay.
Lord of the Flies is a must read.
City of Bones was just meh. I didn’t like the main character. There are similes on almost every page, and I know how you feel about those.
Ahh I just saw Mothership on its publisher’s website and I really want to read it (mostly because I like puns and I think the title is really clever)! Let us know how it is.
I’m with the “meh” on City of Bones. But Speak is great! Very powerful.
